Painter Susan Paulson Clark to exhibit at Eisemann Center
An abstract artist’s journal will be on display at the Eisemann Center from October 26 to January 4, 2022. The exhibition features 35 abstract paintings of all sizes that reveal a slice of the life of Susan Paulson Clark. She uses her expertise as a writer to include a caption written on each piece that describes her experience as she painted it.
“The artists remember what was going on at the time of creation,” she said. “You’re in an area, focused on a visual room in front of you; maybe you’re working at the kitchen table in your forties, or staying late in the studio to mix the perfect golden yellow.”
During his career, Paulson Clark has written for media, magazines and businesses. Suddenly, she thinks of her art in terms of history. Its aim for this exhibition is to provide an insight into an artist’s psyche and for viewers to develop their own journey of appreciating art.
The beautiful lighting and the open and spacious environment of the green Mezzanine-Gallery on the first floor of the Center Eisemann accentuate the vivid colors and the balanced composition of his work.
Gallery opening hours are 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and during all public events. The exhibition is free and open to the public. The Charles W. Eisemann Center is located at 2351 Performance Drive, Richardson, TX 75082 in downtown Galatyn Park adjacent to the Galatyn Park DART station.
